Description:
For the past several weeks, local artist Dorene Johnson, a Horace Mann Middle School teacher in Neenah, has been painting a fiberglass lion at the school. The lion is one of 71 lion and lion cubs being decorated by local artists and organizations and placed throughout the Fox Valley, including College Avenue in Appleton. The lions recognize the Wisconsin premiere of Disney's "The Lion King" at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton. Johnson's lion sits outside the PAC on College Avenue. |
