bob99 ::: Favorites On rationality vs. experience: Maybe rationalists don't suffer from incapacity to experience, but from too much capacity for rationality, in that they distrust experience since it can be anecdotal, unscientific and random. Rationality can be used as a tool to distinguish between what is random, and what is true. Of course, all people have capacity for both, IMO. 07-05-07 04:29:46 _____________________________________________________
peaches927 ::: Favorites I agree with bob99 in that humanity does have a very far way to go. Good video! 07-05-07 12:13:57 _____________________________________________________
CityzenJane ::: Favorites I guess I am wrestling with this 'truth' thing lately...and though generally I come down on the rationalist side typically... I guess I'm the kind of person that likes to have my cake and eat it too on these sorts of topics. I don't want some hyper-rationalist telling me what is 'real' and what is not... Though I suppose if I were schizoid - it would be helpful. That's sounds pretty schizoid on reflection :) 07-05-07 19:52:19 _____________________________________________________
