And I just got back from China last night where China has now surpassed the United States in greenhouse gas emissions. What would each of you do to help the United States and China get together to begin in a MEANINGFUL way, to solve this rather pressing global problem of climate change?

bigredtaxi ::: Favorites Severe penalties should also be imposed on companies (particularly in the motor vehicle industry) who are buying out the enviro friendly car companies, only to crash them into the ground so they are not a threat. evicting Bush would also be a good start as he is not going to be any help at all when he remains loyal to all his big texas oil company mates. bigredtaxi ::: Favorites What i would propose is the promotion of solar energy and other clean energies (hydro and wind etc). I would also be imposing huge taxes on big pollutors to make them change their ways. petrol (i think the yanks call it gas) prices should be raised as they are far too cheap which is encouraging people to use it more (look at Turkey for example, they are paying about $12US per gallon). 07-07-13 11:07:50 __________________________________________________
j0eg0d ::: Favorites We can look at the way we've treated global pollution; Look at corporations still pumping Sulfur Dioxide into the air, notice the poisoning of soil from heavy metals such as Mercury and see how our fresh water is contaminated by chemicals and other pollutants. These politicians throw taxations on it all to encourage a LIMITED destruction of our planet.
