thermotomicman ::: Favorites Actually (it's based on an estimate, I don't know if I'm right), the total amount worldwide as of now is around 80,000 or more. If there were 15,000 left, then they would have gotten rid of 65,000 bombs. I don't think they would have risked stocking them all up in one area or a few, and then accidently set the area on fire, or have a cave-in, or anything possible in that sort of situation. 07-09-01 20:00:21 __________________________________________________
clsteele ::: Favorites trust me their are a hell of a lot more the americans have about that many either way 07-08-31 17:27:28 __________________________________________________
satweavers ::: Favorites Stunning. Watching the physics is fascenating, too. These are high altitude bursts, so there's no interaction with the ground of the fireball. You can see that the burning fissle fuel becomes a torus that rises as it burns, setting up these convection-like currents around it, condensing humid atmosphere into cloud bands... if that is water. How can water vapor envelope something that hot? Must have been filmed through REALLY, REALLY dark optical filters. 07-08-31 15:19:55 __________________________________________________
Binitec ::: Favorites It's ironic that the explosion of the worst weapon that was ever developed by humans looks so beautiful. We can only hope they'll be never used again, as far as I know there are still about 15.000 Nuclear Warheads worldwide. 07-08-25 20:09:24 __________________________________________________
eikonos ::: Favorites call me nuts or warmonger;destructive as it is, you cannot help but mesmerized by its beauty 07-08-14 17:53:55 __________________________________________________ |
