Description:

This is a cool rpg from the old days. I forgot all of the controls. Due to the 10 minute limit I couldn't show that much of the game.

Fctn-7 (AID) will show you the keys. When asked for a name, enter the first letter of the player name... or at least enough to make it significant. Say you have two players, Marge Mudpuddle Enter MU for Mudpuddle.

That's an odd fighting strategy you've got there... I always played the 4-person party with 2 fighters in the lead... always broke down doors instead of entering, then let the fighters charge in hand to hand (occasionally a fighter & rogue, if a fighter was ailing badly) and had the rogue & wizard run backwards away from the monsters using ranged weapons. Worked pretty well, actually... I just got through a 10-floor Quest for the King on MESS with minimal difficulty... no cheating or resaves!

I haven't played this game in over 15 years. I was just giving a less than 10 minute demo.

This was the greatest game!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the post! Wow, what flashbacks to 1983!!!!! The TI99-4/A was a lot of fun.

Easily one of the best TI-99/4A games ever. hard to believe TI actually released an RPG for it.

Thats not taking into account all those silly Scott Adams text adventures on cassette!

I kind of enjoyed the Scott Adams games. I lived a few miles from the developer of Legends, the other RPG for the TI.

I think this game came out even before Ultima! Pirate Adventure was a bitch..

I notice, keghaywood, that your characters are from the already saved game that ToD had originally...hence the "lop-sided" formation... I have a TI-99/4A emulator for my PC called "messgui." I invite all of you to look for it (I think alexdrazen has already referred to it); Tunnels of Doom is included. And it's still fun to play!
