Ancient statues in front of the Castle

Description:

These cat-head statues come from Egypt. They are SO old! Apparently, the cat-head is supposed to represent a god--the giver and taker of life. These statues are located in front of the Hearst Castle, and behind the "cottages" where guests stayed.

YES! Hearst Castle is located in San Simeon, Cambria, CA--we stayed at the BEST place--Cambria Pines Lodge--our room had a fireplace--with a DURAFLAME in it!! They last up to 3 hrs--we only stayed awake for the FIRST hour--LOL!
