This is a commercial from 1986. Nowadays the packaging looks more like the US counterpart.

This was an American commercial with minor alterations for Canada. The original last verse said "The US of A, it's your lucky day" which is silenced here for obvious reasons. I think I have the original US version somewhere.

Unlike the Oreo Ice Cream being made by Breyers, Good Humor and Klondike in the USA, they are made by Nestlé here in Canada. Chips Ahoy also has Ice Cream sandwiches make by Nestlé here.

Also, Christie was, at the time, owned by Nabisco; Both companies were purchaesed by Kraft in 1995.

I thought Nabisco was purchased directly by Phillip Morris around 1998-2000...

This must have been made in the States, and the images with the "Nabisco" logo replaced by images with the "Christie" logo. I can't imagine Canadian advertisers back then paying the big bucks to get Dr. John to record their jingles.

Actually, the Oreo packaging in general was different than in the US. It wasn't until the late 1990s that the Oreo and Chips Ahoy! logos were changed to be similar to their US counterparts.
