MrTarmac ::: Favorites This is a brilliant song. I love the bit about the migration from Ireland: 'from the freckled fields to the steel and glass canyons'. All I would say is that the huge Irish migrations to the US occured in the 1800's - especially around the time of the famine in the 1840's. New York didn't have any skyscapers then!
